For veterans

Portal help for veterans

Your representative’s firm invited you to a secure online portal so you can work with them on your VA claim — view documents, sign forms, answer questions, and stay in touch. The portal runs on software called VA Claim Net. Below are answers to the questions veterans ask most. If you don’t see yours, your firm is always the best first contact.

About VA Claim Net and this portal

What is this portal, and who is VA Claim Net?

This portal is the secure online space your representative’s firm uses to work with you. VA Claim Net is the software company that builds and runs that portal for the firm. Your firm invited you here — there is no open sign-up. VA Claim Net does not represent you; your accredited representative and their firm do.

Is VA Claim Net part of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs?

No. VA Claim Net is independent software for VA-accredited representatives. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or any other government agency.

Does using this portal guarantee a result on my claim?

No. This portal is a tool that helps your firm organize and manage your claim. Using it never guarantees any outcome. Decisions about your claim are made by the VA, and the advice and filings on your behalf come from your representative — not from the software.

Signing in and getting access

How do I get into the portal?

Your representative’s firm sends you a private invitation link by email. Open that link to set up your account and create a password. From then on, you sign in at your firm’s own portal address with your email and password.

My invitation link expired or won’t open — what should I do?

Invitation links are time-limited for security, so they can stop working after a while. Just contact your representative’s firm and ask them to send a fresh invitation. They can re-send it in a few seconds.

I can’t sign in. What now?

First, double-check that you’re using the same email address your firm has on file and that you’re at your firm’s portal address. If it still won’t work, contact your firm — they manage your account and can help you get back in.

How do I reset my password?

On the portal sign-in screen, choose “Forgot password” and enter your email. If your account is set up, you’ll receive a link to choose a new password. If you don’t receive it, check your spam folder, then reach out to your firm.

Using your portal

What can I do in the portal?

The portal is your window into your case. You can view documents your firm shares with you, see updates on your claim, upload files your firm asks for, sign forms, answer questionnaires, and message your firm — all in one secure place, from your phone or computer.

How do I sign documents electronically?

When your firm needs your signature, the document appears in your portal and you’re notified. Open it, review it, and sign right on your phone or computer — no printing or scanning. A record of who signed and when is kept automatically. You can always ask your firm for a paper copy instead.

What are questionnaires, and how do I answer them?

Questionnaires are sets of questions your firm sends to gather details they need for your claim. When one is waiting, you’ll see it in your portal. Answer the questions at your own pace and submit when you’re done — your firm gets your answers right away.

How do I message my firm?

The portal has a secure messaging area where you can write to your firm and read their replies. It keeps your conversation in one place tied to your file, so nothing gets lost in a busy email inbox.

Connecting your VA records

What does “Connect to VA” do?

“Connect to VA” lets you securely share a defined set of your VA records with your firm so they don’t have to ask you to track everything down. You sign in through VA.gov’s own official sign-in, and you give one clear authorization covering these record types: your disability rating, service history, veteran status, permanent-and-total status, enrolled benefits, and record flashes. The consent screen lists exactly what is shared before you agree.

Do I have to connect?

No. Connecting is completely optional. You can use the portal fully without it. It simply saves time by letting your firm see the VA records you choose to share, instead of gathering them by hand.

How do I disconnect?

You can disconnect at any time from the My info page inside your portal. Once you disconnect, the portal stops pulling new information from your VA records.

Will VA Claim Net see my VA.gov password?

No. You sign in on VA.gov’s own system, and the VA never shares your VA.gov password with VA Claim Net or your firm. You are only sharing the specific record types you approve.

Privacy, security, and getting help

Who can see my information, and is it secure?

Your information lives in your firm’s client file, and your firm controls it. Your data is encrypted while it travels over the internet and while it’s stored. You see only your own information through your secure portal. For the full details, see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Do you sell my information?

No. We never sell veteran data, and we don’t use your records for advertising. We use your information only to run the portal for your firm, as described in our Privacy Policy.

I need help — who do I contact?

For anything about your claim, your documents, or your case, contact your representative’s firm first — they manage your file and know your situation. If you run into a technical problem with the portal itself, you can reach the VA Claim Net support team at evan@processorteam.com. Please don’t include sensitive details like your Social Security number in that email.
